My name is Ahmad Bridget, an 8th-grade Literacy/Social Studies teacher. I have been teaching for a long time. Close to 20 years. With me teaching my entire teaching career at Young, I have come to build relationships with many families over the years and I  hope that continues this year. 

I like to read and I hope that you do too. If you are not there yet, I will help you find texts that you can relate to.. I feel strongly that reading is to the mind, what exercise is to the body(I didn't make that up!). In Social Science/ we will cover systems of government, the roots of inequality in the United States, and explore how we can work to be activists in the Austin community.
